OUR NAME AND HERITAGE

Great partnerships are forged where different strengths collide. For us, that intersection is written directly into our name and our history.  NorseGael Risk brings together two Swedish and one Irish co-founders.  We chose this name to honor a historical reality: centuries ago, the Norse and the Gaels didn't just cross paths—they integrated, trading seafaring ambition for deep-rooted resilience. 

Our logo embodies this fusion of cultures and capabilities. It features a minimalist Viking ship powered by a traditional Celtic harp as its sail. 

The Viking ship represents the adventurous, pioneering spirit of our Swedish heritage—the drive to navigate uncharted markets, embrace calculated risks, and push forward with operational agility.  The Celtic harp represents our Irish roots, symbolizing harmony, precision, structural integrity, and the art of building deep relationships. Together, the harp catches the wind, driving the ship forward. 

While inspired by the historical connections between these cultures, our focus is  on the future. We work with insurers, MGAs, brokers, and partners to develop products, strengthen distribution, and create sustainable growth opportunities. As customer behaviour, technology, and distribution models continue to evolve, we help businesses identify opportunities, embrace innovation, and build insurance solutions that meet the needs of a changing market.

OUR STORY 

NorseGael Risk was founded by three insurance professionals who shared a common view: the insurance market is changing, and businesses need more agile and specialist partners to keep pace.

Having worked together at a leading global insurer, we saw firsthand both the strengths of the traditional insurance model and the challenges of responding quickly to evolving customer needs, new risks, and emerging distribution opportunities. We believed there was room for a more focused and entrepreneurial approach, combining deep technical expertise with the flexibility to move faster and closer to the market.

United by a shared vision, we combined expertise developed through leadership roles across international insurers, brokers, and underwriting businesses. Together, we bring extensive experience in underwriting, portfolio management, product development, distribution, partnerships, and insurance operations.

Today, NorseGael Risk works with insurers, MGAs, brokers, affinity partners, and corporates to develop and grow insurance solutions that respond to changing customer expectations and evolving market dynamics. Our approach is straightforward: combine specialist expertise, practical execution, and strong partnerships to create long-term value for both clients and capacity providers.
